Scalextric Digital
Scalextric Digital is the latest era for slot racing, just the same
as the previous Scalextric system but digital adds a more dynamic
racing experience.
The
main difference with Scalextric Digital is that it allows up to
6 cars to race at the same time with lane changing functionality
on any lane.

How do i go digital?
it's very easy. If you are starting from scratch we suggest buying
a Scalextric digital set has these have everything you need including
track, digital cars , digital controllers, a digital powerbase &
Transformer, this is also the cheapest way!
If
you already have an existing analogue scalextric track & wish
to convert your existing layout to Digital is very simple. we suggest
using the Scalextric Sport Digital Conversion Pack - No Cars (C7040)
The Cars:
Any scalextric car can be converted to the Digital operation but
they need to be fitted with a scalextric digital chip to work on
the system. Standard scalextric cars from 2008 are DPR (Digital
Plug Ready) which means the car can be fitted in 30 seconds with
A DPR Easy fit chip.
DPR Easy fit chips available:
• (C8515)
for saloon / sports car
• (C8516)
for F1
Previous Scalextric cars & cars from other manufactures can
also be converted to digital but these need a little more modification
and require tools such as screwdrivers, craft knife & soldering
iron. These digital chips come with with extensive diagrams and
fitting instructions to help you convert your slot car.
